Nuclear Winter is another Scandinavia-inspired track. I went to Oslo in January 2011 and experienced mountains of roadside snow, metres of the stuff, just scooped up and placed out of the way so Norway could have a normal day. The city was covered in a blanket of white; it was beautiful.
I compared it to what I see in England almost every year - an inch of snow causes widespread panic as salt mines fail to supply roads with grit, as motorists pile-up, trains and planes get cancelled across the country and snow becomes headline news. I pondered what would happen if England got two or three metres of snow one day. I figured a "Nuclear Winter" would be the only event, a mass hysteria and a tribal dystopia would form as the Scandinavians watched us and laughed.
